Rooted by the River

(Verse 1 - ABAB) Blessed is the one who walks in light, Turning from the path where shadows grow. In the Father’s law is their delight, Watching as the seeds of promise sow. (Chorus - AABB) Like a tree that’s planted by the stream, Living out the Father’s holy dream. Bearing fruit in every passing stage, With a leaf that never fades with age. (Verse 2 - ABAB) Not like the chaff that blows away, Lost within the shifting of the wind. But standing firm through every day, Healed from every scar and every sin. (Chorus - AABB) Like a tree that’s planted by the stream, Living out the Father’s holy dream. Bearing fruit in every passing stage, With a leaf that never fades with age. (Bridge - AABB) For the Lord beholds the righteous way, Leading us to where the glories stay. In His presence, peace is ever deep, Promises the Lord will always keep. (Outro - ABAB) Rooted in His love so deep and wide, Walking with the Spirit as our guide. Soul is soothed and mind is clear and free, Blessed is the heart that trusts in Thee.
