[Verse 1] Walk in the room Everybody cut thin Sleeves on bones And the jeans go in One fry left On a paper tray You say “I’m fine” Then you turn away [Pre-Chorus] Where did the extra go? Where did the soft parts hide? Every mirror says the same Same shape, same size [Chorus] Everybody skinny these days Everybody skinny these days Where’d the rest all go? Everybody skinny these days (these days) [Verse 2] Lunch on a napkin A cherry, a bite Swear they all say “I’m good” tonight Jackets hanging loose On a narrow frame Same little laugh Same little game [Pre-Chorus] Where did the extra go? Where did the soft parts hide? Every mirror says the same Same shape, same size [Chorus] Everybody skinny these days Everybody skinny these days Where’d the rest all go? Everybody skinny these days (these days) [Bridge] I miss the full plates I miss the warm hands I miss a little room To take up space in plans But you keep smiling Like it’s all okay Still everybody Skinny these days [Chorus] Everybody skinny these days Everybody skinny these days Where’d the rest all go? Everybody skinny these days (these days)
