The heavens sing of glory untold, The skies unfold God’s art. Day after day, their voices rise, Night after night, they whisper wise— No speech, no word, yet all the earth Hears their silent, shining mirth. The sun, a bridegroom, strong and bright, Leaps from his chamber, bathed in light. He runs his course with joy untamed, And all the world is warmed, unshamed. No heart can hide beneath his gaze, No soul escapes his golden blaze. The law of God is flawless, pure, Reviving souls, forever sure. His precepts stand, both clear and right, Bringing the simple eyes to sight. His words are sweet—oh, taste and see!— More rich than gold, than honey free. By them Your servant is made wise, In keeping them, great treasure lies. Who can discern the errors hid? Cleanse me, O Lord, from what I did In secret blindness, unawares, And keep me from the proud one’s snares. Let all my thoughts, my words, my ways, Be pleasing in Your sight always. O Rock, Redeemer, strong and true, My heart and tongue sing praise to You!
