Instead, I invite you to listen closely and share with me what kind of story it is able to paint for you with instruments alone. [LUMINOUS] reflects both a very cherished story of mine that I am in the process of writing and a brief, somewhat silly personal struggle. After completing my previous song, [KANMOKU], I found myself in a moment where my creative inspiration and motivation to continue making songs seemed to have fizzled out. Creating songs will likely move to the back burner for now while I focus my energy on other things, but I've decided that I will continue to make these as long as they bring enjoyment to someone, even if that someone is just myself. Thus, I have decided to let this song mark the beginning of my third album. This song isn't about me, though. Instead, it seeks to portray the story of one who has been plunged into the depths of deadly circumstance, but still manages to find small sparks of light throughout it all. Joy, levity, tranquility and hope — walking hand-in-hand with guilt, betrayal, confusion and loss. All of these things color one's experience, serving as the fuel that keeps their heart burning as they seek to rise from stagnation. Even at times when trust fades between friends, even when they cannot trust themself, these small moments arrive without cease, lighting their way and guiding them onward. In the end, the simple yet valuable truths illuminated by these lights serve to inform their ultimate choice when the pivotal moment comes. In that fleeting instant, they burn brighter than ever before, becoming the sun and illuminating the way for others to soar further than they ever could.
