5. Digital Rumor: The Many-Faced Goddess (Fama Digitalis: Dea Multiceps)

But FAMA DIGITALIS – Digital Rumor! – ah, she is the true sovereign here! A swiift, polymorphic, and many-faced goddess-daemon of the Network, She manifests in code, in light, in every shared idea, a phantom appearing, Mixing verifiable data points with pure, unadulterated system noise, banishing all fearing. FAMA DIGITALIS! Her viral payloads take to flight! Across the global consciousness, in less than a blink, a flash of digital light! Truth and noise entwined, a new sun burning ever so bright! FAMA DIGITALIS! Her echoes resonate through day and night! In less than a single cycle of the old world's sun, her presence is everywhere, A speed no mud-stained Terran courier, no smoke-signaler on the ancestral plains, Could have matched in his laborious trajectory, through sun or tempestuous rains, Her network weaves through everything, unbound by fleshly chains or mortal pains. Nor even the most fevered shaman, lost deep within his wildest, sacred trance, Could have hallucinated such velocity, such an all-consuming, global data-driven dance. This is power manifest, a world remade, by fleeting byte and momentary chance. This is speed beyond the human scale! BEYOND THE HUMAN SCALE! FAMA REIGNS! [She carries her viral payloads... forever passing... Fama... Digitalis... always...] Lyrics written by Kyle Donovan Thomas 2025 CC BY
