[Verse] There once was a sheep with a woolly grin Dancing in the meadow as the night set in A beam of light A whoosh A spin Off to the stars with a cosmic twin [Verse 2] A cow in the pasture chewing on a flower Mooing to the moon at the midnight hour The beam came down with tractor power Now she’s floating in an alien tower [Verse 3] A crow on a fencepost cawing so loud Wings spread wide like a feathered shroud It squawked at the light So strange and proud Now it’s zooming through space on a glowing cloud [Verse 4] An octopus lost in a fisherman’s pail Wondering how it could grow some sails It waved eight arms as the beam unveiled Now it’s jiving in space with its tentacle tales [Chorus] Oh The sheep The cow The crow And the ‘pus Got caught in a beam Didn’t make a fuss Now they’re grooving in the spaceship All of us It’s a cosmic barnyard boogie Don’t miss the bus [Bridge] There’s fiddles and banjos in zero-G Tambourines clanging in harmony Aliens clapping It’s a jamboree Who knew the stars could set us free
