A star was born in Bethlehem

[Verse] In a manger cold and bare Lies a baby pure and rare Tiniest hands so softly curled In Bethlehem he changed the world [Verse 2] Three wise men they traveled far Guided by a bright new star Bringing gifts of gold and myrrh For the baby they adorned with care [Chorus] A star above lit up the night Shining down with holy light Angel voices softly sing Welcome to the newborn king [Verse 3] Shepherds came with hearts so mild To see the sacred holy child In his eyes they found their peace A love that never will cease [Chorus] A star above lit up the night Shining down with holy light Angel voices softly sing Welcome to the newborn king [Bridge] Frankincense to bless his name Gold to honor his royal claim Myrrh to soothe a future pain Precious gifts in heaven's name
