[Verse] The devil laughed With a voice like thunder "You cannot survive You will break asunder" I stood my ground My heart ablaze In the darkest night I found my ways [Prechorus] Breastplate shining Sword in hand This is where I make my stand [Chorus] I am the storm I am the fire With Jesus' strength I will climb higher As long as God's light keeps me warm I am the storm I am the storm [Verse 2] The enemy threw words Sharp as knives But I held firm I felt alive The winds may howl The skies may tear With the Shield of faith Without despair [Prechorus] Breastplate shining Sword of truth I found my strength I found my proof [Chorus] I am the storm I am the fire With Jesus' strength I will climb higher As long as God's light keeps me warm I am the storm I am the storm
