*Oh yeah, true story* Was watching a show then I remembered Work I needed to do I led with "I Need..." A mistake that didn't make it through Only got out "I need"... Before the reply A harsh dose of what-for So misplaced Had me rollin' on the floor "YOU DON’T NEED SHIT!" Came outta nowhere My crazed laughter Left me gaspin’ for air Laughed so hard Couldn’t even explain Now it lives rent-free in my brain Couldn’t catch my breath Couldn’t stand tall Next thing I hear "Well, that ain’t all!" "Tellin’ me you need things MY ASS!" Like I was beggin’ for gold or tryin' to trespass "YOU DON’T NEED SHIT!" Hit me again Tears from laughter I couldn’t defend Work forgotten Reason for "I need..." was gone I could only laugh and roll along Now anytime I think “I need to do work” I hear that voice plant the seed "Need somethin’? Claimin' you need again?" Leadin' with "I need..." A mistake my friend "YOU DON’T NEED SHIT!" Said so loud Need to do work? Well "I need" Is not how So if you’re out there Feelin’ low Thinkin’ ‘bout things You need to do-or-do or know Just remember, deep inside "YOU DON’T NEED SHIT!" And you’ll be alright!
