You said “stay on the porch,” Thought I’d sit and behave, Thought I’d rock in a chair And just wave from the shade. But I fired up the engine, Put the pedal to the floor, Turned that little front porch Into a starting line war. Green flag dropping, hear the thunder roll, Eight cylinders shaking like a rocket soul. You brought the bark, You brought the bite… We brought the horsepower And took off into the night. Checkered flag waving… Smoke in the air… Everybody looking… But we’re already there. No slow lane… No looking back… Starlite Porch got a rocket Underneath the track. ZOOM ZOOM! 🏁🔥 Hear the engines cry! Dog in the front seat with his paws to the sky! ZOOM ZOOM! Watch the whole world go! We left the porch… Now we’re putting on a show! ZOOM ZOOM! 500 miles an hour! Leaving tire tracks through a cosmic shower! You said “stay put…” But we broke the rules… Now the porch dog’s driving with a rocket full of fuel! Pit crew ready, tools in the hand, Building a machine nobody planned. Number on the door, Starlite shining bright, Racing through the stars in the middle of the night. Dog got goggles, sitting shotgun proud, Barking at the planets as we fly through the clouds. Peepaw said, “Son, I remember racing too.” Mama said, “Peepaw, you drove to the store and got lost for two.” 😂 They said: Stay on the porch. So we did… For about three seconds. Then we added wheels… Then wings… Then a rocket engine. Big mistake. ZOOM ZOOM! Hear the engines roar! From the porch… To the stars… And beyond the door! ZOOM ZOOM! No brakes tonight! The checkered flag’s glowing in the edge of the light! 500 miles an hour… Still climbing higher! Dog in the front seat… Riding with the fire!
