Song of the Völva (The Weaving Song) ᛒ

[Intro] Wind... Thunder... Ravens... Seiðr... Seiðr... Vakið, völur... Rætur Yggdrasils kalla... Óðinn... Freyja... [Verse 1] Frost giants thunder across the ice I kneel beneath the frozen sky My spirit falls through Yggdrasil Where ancient roots still breathe Beyond the veil Beyond all fear The old ones whisper Draw me near [Pre-Chorus] Hel... Hear me through the darkness Freyja... Keeper of the hidden path Óðinn... Guide my wandering soul The thread is woven The circle whole [Chorus, Nordic Female Choir] This is my death This is my rebirth I awaken The gift of Seiðr Sing the spell Weave the thread Walk the ancient path The ancestors tread Seiðr Seiðr Seiðr [Verse 2] Fire shows What eyes cannot see Frost remembers What once shall be Across the mountains Across the sea The song returns To awaken me The ravens circle The wolves draw near The veil grows thin The gods appear [Bridge] Seiðr vakni... Óðinn, leið mér... Freyja, gef mér kraft... Nornir vefa örlög mín... Ek sé... Ek heyri... Ek man... [Break] I surrender To earth To fire To wind To ice I surrender To what was To what is To what shall become [Final Chorus] This is my death This is my rebirth The old blood rises Within the earth Storm and shadow Bone and flame The ancient gods Remember my name Across the frost Across the sea The song of Seiðr Lives in me Seiðr Seiðr Seiðr [Outro] The wind remembers... The ravens remember... The roots remember... Seiðr... Seiðr... Song of the Völva...
