Salvation week

Good evening. These past few days, reflecting on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the events leading up to it, have revealed something important — life is not designed for the weak. It requires strength, discipline, and spiritual awareness. As a young individual, I recognize that the devil has a plan for each and every one of us. His intention is clear — to turn believers away from God, to influence those who pray against him, and to draw people into his control… just as the fallen angels were cast out of heaven. And he does not always come in obvious ways. He works through deception. Through trust. Through people. At the Last Supper, Jesus sat among His disciples — those closest to Him — and yet, Judas was already preparing to betray Him. At that same table, Peter declared loyalty. He said he would never deny Christ. Yet when the moment came, he denied Him three times. This teaches us a powerful truth: betrayal does not always come from a distance. It can come from those closest to you. And when betrayal comes, it brings anger. It brings pain. It brings confusion. But we must understand — that moment is a test. Because that is where the enemy seeks to take control. However, Jesus set the example. At the Last Supper, He broke the bread and said, ‘This is my body.’ He took the cup and said, ‘This is my blood.’ He knew exactly what was coming — the suffering, the betrayal, the cross — yet He remained obedient. And even in His suffering, He said: ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.’ That is authority. That is power. That is control. So when we face betrayal, when we face hardship — we do not respond with anger that leads us away from God. We respond with strength. With discipline. With prayer. God will help you — but you must also choose to stand firm. Because the sacrifice has already been made. Amen.
