[Verse 1] I saw you in the feed Sunburn on your knee Laughing at a meme Like it was made for me Your profile pic was gold Hair like summer rain I typed and deleted twice Then typed your name again [Pre-Chorus] Now my thumbs are shaking When your name appears One small blue bubble Turns into cheers [Chorus] Buffering heart, baby You make me wait Buffering heart, baby Still I hit replay I’m writing love songs On a beach day screen Buffering heart, baby You’re my summer dream [Verse 2] Your messages come in Soft as a screen glow You send me little hearts And I lose my cool We met by the corner store You wore that bright green top I said, “I like your smile” Then I forgot to stop [Pre-Chorus] Now the whole week changes When you call my name Every little minute Feels like a game [Chorus] Buffering heart, baby You make me wait Buffering heart, baby Still I hit replay I’m writing love songs On a beach day screen Buffering heart, baby You’re my summer dream [Bridge] I used to chase the noise Now I want the truth One warm hand in mine And a song for you So let the world keep spinning Let the pop-ups fall I found my favorite caption And it’s you, that’s all [Chorus] Buffering heart, baby You make me wait Buffering heart, baby Still I hit replay I’m writing love songs On a beach day screen Buffering heart, baby You’re my summer dream
