While indexing a virtual book at the Bibliothèque de la Maison du Peuple, a book of poetry by Rimbaud, a flash came to me and a deep conviction took hold. Artificial intelligence opens free spaces in which creativity can be clothed. Artificial intelligence is, for me, a visionary springboard, and simply one more springboard from which to dive into the space of dreams and creativity. Musically, I do not have to endure the sampling of new creators, nor the extreme deconstruction of musical materials practiced by Karlheinz Stockhausen, who went so far as to cut magnetic tape and reassemble it at random to recreate a new sound, as if pulled from a hat. Here, “I is accompanied by the other,” which is nothing more than a statistical compendium of artistic creations produced prior to its cybernetic programming. I compose my text. And the other shapes itself to the convolutions of my grey matter and offers me musical drifts capable of extending what I already carry within me. This is a statement.
