Shattered Wings (Nordic Discord Challenge)

Woke in chambers, silence screaming— Louder than a dragon's roar. Truth bleeds crimson through the shadows, Tears the pact my blood once swore. Eyes in glass, a stranger staring, Hollow where my soul should be. Chasing echoes of the past me Through a life I can't retrieve. Prophets whisper poison scriptures, Spirits clawing at my skin... I'm not falling—I'm unraveling, Thread by thread, my soul undone. Cursed to wear the face of who I was, Left by gods who've fled the sun. Cracks in fate's old mirror gleam— “Here I am, but barely alive.” Is this death, or just awakening? Is there more this pain can give? Visions dance like dying embers, None can soothe this phantom ache. Drunk on vials of my sorrow, Poisoned air my lungs forsake. Wizard's chant, “Just find your center,” But the air won't fill my lungs. Once I wore the dawn as armor— Now I crawl on shattered rungs. Hope was once a spell I mastered, Now it's ash upon my tongue... I'm not broken—I'm believing That this night still hides a dawn. Phantom's thrash inside my temple, Sacred vows I can't recall. Cracks in glass now twist and whisper— “Every wound could be a door.” Maybe light still waits in fragments, Maybe I am something more. Tell me there's a rhyme to ruin, Tell me scars can birth the stars. If I howl into the void, Will the universe reply? If I kneel inside the fire, Will the burn become my guide? I'm not ending—I'm transcending, Darkness cradles my rebirth. Maybe chains were just illusions, Maybe pain rewrote my worth. Cracks in mirrors form a mosaic— “All I was and will become.” Shattered, yes—but now I see it: Broken things can still hold sun. Yeah... the cracks let in the light. These shattered pieces? They're my wings.
