☯A slow, warm lullaby from Chapter 51 of the Tao Te Ching, about what gives life and cares for it without owning it 🤍 Celtic harp, Hawaiian nose flute and steel guitar, a deep voice, and the echo of a cave 🌊 --- This is called mysterious Virtue. [Intro] [Verse 1] Tao gives birth to it. (gives birth...) [Verse 2] Virtue rears it. (rears it...) [Verse 3] Materiality shapes it, activity perfects it. (perfects it...) [Chorus] Therefore, there are none of the myriad things who do not venerate the Tao or esteem its virtue. [Short Chant] Mysterious virtue... mysterious virtue... [Verse 4] This veneration of the Tao and esteeming of its virtue is something they do naturally, without being forced. [Bridge] Therefore, Tao gives birth. Its virtue rears, develops, raises, adjusts and disciplines, nourishes, covers and protects. [Final Verse] Produces but does not possess. Acts without expectation. Leads without forcing. [Chant Hook] This is called mysterious Virtue. Mysterious virtue... mysterious virtue... Mysterious Virtue. Mysterious virtue... mysterious virtue... Mysterious Virtue. Mysterious virtue... mysterious virtue... Mysterious Virtue. [Outro]
