Blood Screams
A human heart can break so easily Unbearable No one has the right Obvious Blood screams A human heart can fade away so easily One careless phrase cuts deep invisibly No warning sign No second thought We leave behind the scars we brought Blind to the damage we create Too little love, too much hate Maybe kindness takes more strength Than turning away from someone’s pain Some will never understand another’s pain Some are lost inside themselves But if regret still lives within your heart There may still be a way back home You wounded someone And forgot their tears I wish it were that simple I can’t stop the screaming in my blood I’m only trying to hold on If you break a heart Then I’ll try to save it Even when the heart is mine As long as someone still remembers pain There is still hope left in this world I’m not asking you to be perfect Just learn to hear another soul Please stop the screaming blood Sigh Different values Maybe that’s true Sigh Different lives Maybe that’s true But some wounds never disappear No matter how many passing years Words fade out But scars remain Echoing softly inside the pain How many times did I fall apart How many cracks run through my heart How many people did I hurt Those memories still burn How many times has my heart been broken I’ve long since lost count How many hearts have I hurt myself Those memories keep me awake I tell myself I’m still human I can’t stop the screaming in my blood But I don’t want to lose myself If you break a heart Then I’ll try to save it Even if nobody understands I can’t become numb to suffering Because I know how it feels I want to be a gentle human Someone who can stay beside the hurting Please end the screaming blood No sorrow No pain No nights in the rain No loneliness calling my name Would we still be human then Or just machines pretending again These scars remain beneath the skin Maybe that’s where compassion begins Maybe every wound we carry Becomes a light for somebody Blood screams Blood screams Can you hear it Blood screams Some people may never understand And that’s alright Not every battle needs to be fought Until the screaming blood grows quiet At least I want to be A gentle human being A desperate prayer remains here
