[EREBUS] - The Fortress City of Heavenly Omens

HOSI NO MAKIMONO Third Release: "[EREBUS] - The Fortress City of Heavenly Omens" There are no lyrics for this song. Instead, I invite you to listen closely and share with me what kind of story it is able to paint for you with instruments alone. [EREBUS] is a notably different song from my previous releases, with less distinctive characteristics, but I hope it is able to shine in its own right. While [MINNOW] and [KUIMONO] took shape as long, epic tracks with dynamic transformations throughout, i opted for something on the short and more simple side here, so as to open the door for listeners of different tastes. Rather than a grand evolution or inner reflection of a character, [EREBUS] aims less at telling a story and more at painting the picture of a setting and drawing you into the world it portrays. A fantastical land above the clouds, gleaming with majesty and bustling with busy activity. Streets inhabited by a people and culture that is brimming with character, all going about their mundane daily lives while collectively striving towards a greater unified purpose. An outlook characterized by constant advancement and hope for the future. A shining light that contrasts with its dark namesake. I believe this upbeat atmosphere is a nice change of pace from the more dark and heavy tracks that came prior. I hope [EREBUS] was able to draw you in and give you a glimpse of the world it seeks to portray. And of course, I hope it was able to bring you some small sliver of enjoyment in the process. If so, please give my other songs a listen and stay tuned for future releases.
