[Verse 1] You’re walking toward the cross You know every nail Every stone Still You set Your face like flint You won’t turn back You won’t turn Love is in each steady step Mercy in the dust You stir You see the hill in the distance Yet You keep moving closer [Chorus] Walking toward the cross You know the weight You count the cost Yet love keeps leading on and on You choose the road of sacrifice Thank You for Your willing heart Thank You for the cost of Your love [Verse 2] I’m slowing down my restless pace I quiet all the noise inside I fix my eyes upon Your steps I will follow where You stride I’m not just standing in the crowd I’m walking in the dust You leave Shape my heart to look like Yours Teach my feet to still believe [Chorus] Walking toward the cross You know the weight You count the cost Yet love keeps leading on and on You choose the road of sacrifice Thank You for Your willing heart Thank You for the cost of Your love [Bridge] You are not reluctant You are not afraid (oh Jesus) You embrace the suffering For the joy of every name I am not a spectator I’m a follower of grace Step by step beside You All my life All my days [Chorus] Walking toward the cross You know the weight You count the cost Yet love keeps leading on and on You choose the road of sacrifice Thank You for Your willing heart Thank You for the cost of Your love
