[Intro - Spoken] Take away the lights, the food, the gifts, the parties. What’s left? If you still have Jesus… you still have Christmas. [Verse 1] Forget the wrapping, forget the bows, They come and go like melted snow. The latest gadget, trendy thing, Will fade like all the rest we bring. But in the middle of the noise, There is a still, unhindered joy— That God Himself draws ever near, Makes His home with us right here. [Verse 2] He doesn’t fit inside a box, He’s not bought or ever lost. He’s the gift that came by grace, Putting Heaven in our place. When you feel you don’t have much, No big tree or big enough lunch, Remember this unchanging lift: His presence is the greatest gift. [Chorus] His presence is the gift, His love is what we need. More than anything we’ve wished, Jesus is the gift we keep. When all the wrapping’s torn, And the day feels kind of still, We find the deepest joy of all— He is with us, and He will. [Spoken - Mid] “In Your presence there is fullness of joy.” Not in our performance, not in our bank account, not in having the “perfect” Christmas— in His presence. [Bridge] He’s the gift That never fades, Never breaks, Never trades. He’s the joy That doesn’t end, He’s our Savior, He’s our Friend.
