V6

Paper 158 – The Mount of Transfiguration 🎢 Song: From the Mountain to the Valley (Verse 1 – The Watchers on the Mountain) Six days after Peter's word, Higher truths would yet be heard. Peter, James and John drew near, Following the Master there. Chosen long for nights of prayer, Witnesses of moments rare. On Mount Hermon's silent height, Heaven opened to their sight. (Verse 2 – The Transfiguration) Light celestial filled the air, Glory shining everywhere. Gabriel and Melchizedek came, Speaking of the Father's plan. Worlds and ages stood revealed, Mysteries no flesh could wield. Yet the Son could still decide, Whether he would stay or rise. (Verse 3 – The Great Decision) The Eternal Son was satisfied, Infinite Spirit testified. All requirements now were done, Yet remained the Father's will alone. He could leave the earthly way, Return to universe array. But freely chose the path ahead, Toward the days of pain instead. (Verse 4 – The Heavenly Voice) Then the voice they heard before, Like the Jordan's sacred shore: "This is my beloved Son," Still confirming what he'd done. Peter stood in awe and fear, Heaven's witness sounding clear. Yet the Master gently said, "Greater things lie still ahead." (Verse 5 – Coming Down the Mountain) Down the mountain, back to men, Back to suffering once again. No longer light and shining cloud, But confusion in the crowd. A father cried in deep despair, Seeking mercy, seeking care. The valley waited just below, Where divine compassion flows. (Verse 6 – The Epileptic Boy) Nine disciples stood ashamed, Unable to relieve the pain. Then the Master's healing grace Brought both hope and strength to faith. Thomas asked, "Why did we fail?" Jesus showed the deeper trail. Fear and doubt had dimmed their sight, Weakening their inner light. (Verse 7 – Peter's Protest) Peter loved him, strong and true, Yet the Father's way he never knew. "Lord, this cannot be your fate," Still he struggled with that weight. He believed the Son divine, Yet resisted heaven's design. Faith must grow and learn to see Beyond the path we'd choose to be. (Verse 8 – At Peter's House) In the quiet evening hour, Jesus spoke of spirit power. Not through crowns nor earthly fame, Would the kingdom truly reign. The crowds would fade, the road grow steep, Many promises he'd keep. Preparing hearts to carry on, After he himself was gone. (Bridge) On the mountain stood the King, Lord of every living thing. In the valley walked the Friend, Faithful servant to the end. Glory shining from above, Answered by redeeming love. Heaven touched the earth that day, Then returned to serve and stay. (Chorus) From the mountain to the valley, From the vision to the way, From celestial confirmation To the needs of every day. From the voices of the heavens To a father's desperate cry, Jesus chose the road before him, Chose to live and chose to die. From the mountain to the valley, Still the lesson shines today: The highest gifts of revelation Lead us back to serve, not stay. πŸ™πŸ“–βœ¨
