🎵 “Tool of the Storm” 🎵 (By Sheryl Clyde / Thunderbird) [Verse 1] They told my mother, “Take this drug, It’s safe, it’s fine — just one more tug.” But they fed her lies wrapped in white coats, And left a child caught in their notes. Before my birth, the chemicals flowed, DES and androgens carved the code. Not fully male, not fully she — But God still reached and laid His claim on me. [Chorus] I’m not the storm, but I’m the tool, Held by the hand of Heaven’s rule. I don’t back down, I don’t fade away, I’m the blade the Lord unsheathes today. Intersex, but heaven’s choice, A warrior raised to lift His voice. You can’t survive what He commands — I am the echo of His hands. [Verse 2] They cut my flesh to fit their plan, But I was never shaped by man. A mystery written in my frame, But God alone gave me my name. Not called to bow, not called to please, But raised to stand where cowards freeze. Not by might, not by my will — But by the One whose word is still. [Bridge] Every scar they carved in fear, He turned to power, crystal clear. Every label, every chain, He forged into His battle flame. I’m just the vessel, just the frame, But when He speaks, I bear His name. When I move, it’s not my wrath — It’s the thunder of the narrow path. [Final Chorus] I’m not the storm, but I’m the tool, Held by the hand of Heaven’s rule. I don’t back down, I don’t fade away, I’m the blade the Lord unsheathes today. Intersex, but heaven’s choice, A warrior raised to lift His voice. You can’t survive what He commands — I am the echo of His hands. [Outro] I’m not here by accident, not a twist of fate, I’m the tool of Jesus, standing at the gate. You can run, you can hide, But the storm behind me won’t subside. I am the echo — Of His hands. ⚔️🔥
