01 — The Encounter

V6

[Intro – Ambient] [Distant wind] [Footsteps slowly approaching on stone] [Subtle forest ambience] [Faint birds in the distance] [Female Pilgrim – Sung] Walking up the hill to the sacred stone, The path was guarded by a man with a frown. Tall and youthful, with a strange golden glow, I said, “Excuse me,” and he greeted me with a bow. [Male Elf – Spoken, calm and authoritative] “Ma’am, no humans are allowed in here. This is the kingdom of Elvenmere. You must turn around and leave this place, Before the elders learn you crossed the gate.” [Female Pilgrim – Sung] We pilgrims have come here for a thousand years, Your artificial border won't keep me from here. I came with a gift to honor the dead, Open the path before time leaves them unsaid. [Ambient Pause] [Wind rises softly] [Female Pilgrim – Sung] He studied me in silence, His frown slowly fading away. Perhaps he had not expected A human to speak that way. Then he stepped closer, his eyes on mine, And reached for the silver blade. [Male Elf – Sung, warm tenor] “A thousand years, you say? Then perhaps you should be heard.” [Metallic dagger sound] [Male Elf – Sung, expressive tenor] This dagger speaks louder than books, I think it has an older history than it looks. Would you be kind enough to trade it with me? I'll give you my pendant to keep you safe and hatred-free. [Ambient Pause] [Faint magical resonance] [Male Elf – Spoken, gentle] “A thousand years, you say? Then perhaps you should be heard.” [Finale – Cinematic] [Soft orchestral rise] [Ancient gate begins to open] [Female Pilgrim – Sung] She looked down at the pendant in his hand, Then back at the silver blade. Two strangers standing at an ancient border, With promises neither had made. [Female Pilgrim – Sung, soft] I reached for the pendant slowly, And placed the dagger in his hand. [Male Elf – Sung, warm tenor] He stepped aside without another word, And opened the gates to Elvenmere. [Female Pilgrim – Sung, softer] But as I crossed beneath the ancient stone, I heard him whisper my name. [Silence] [Male Elf – Whispered, intimate] “You don't know what you carry, pilgrim… And neither does your world.”
