Translucent Jade glass sea, seabirds sounds call down like Doppler Salted breeze and brine coalesce in my hair Squinting through the golden glare A rush of blood roars At the distant line of mountainous glass it soars above the sky Before me Dig deep and hard into myself and the water to propel my fear and existential self above that vast maw Raw, on adrenaline Teeth grit hard to still my quailing mind Do I just get over Or do I turn around Do I run the line and risk the wrath of mother nature’s green eyed heart ? I go , I fall and bite the wall, then lean and drive hard, stall and glide , duck my head then hide inside The thunderous noise is in my ears while the rushing spray blasts past my rear Skip out like a stone or a speeding skier to slowly sink , and think of nothing exultantly crystal clear Devoid of nothing but pure joy All my troubled past and future fears shatter like shards Insubstantial as dreams , every wave a life lived
