The Quiet

V5.5

THE Quiet Pinoks Vibes I was sitting on the porch this morning... Coffee getting cold in my hand and still yawning My old dog sleeping at my feet, feeling his heartbeat Watching the sun climb over the river. And I got to thinking with a shiver About all the men nobody talks about...not even a glimmer The ones who carry the weight. The ones who never complain and following the straight The ones who disappear leaving an absence without any fear --- They don't always cry. They don't always ask for help...they'll rather die Most times... they just get quieter. A little more distant. A little more tired. A little less feeling like a mess Until one day... there's an empty chair at the table forever to stay --- They don't scream. They don't yell. They don't make a scene. They just vanish, not to be mean Leaving behind questions, photographs, their only true possessions and hearts full of regret. they can't forget --- Somewhere tonight a father is fighting a battle nobody can see but he Somewhere a husband is smiling for everybody else while falling apart inside himself Somewhere a son is wondering if the world would even notice if he wasn't here tomorrow asking him about his sorrow --- And the tragedy is... most men were taught to carry everything he was born to caught The bills. The fears. The expectations. The pain. But never the burden tears of asking for help...nobody hears --- We don't want pity. We want respect. We don't want to be treated like broken things neglect. We want to be seen. To be heard. To know that our lives are not blurred --- Because we are the fathers who worked late. The brothers who showed up for a mate. The friends who answered the phone. The husbands who stood in the storm alone so somebody else could stay at home --- And when one of us falls... an entire world falls. A family loses a protector. A child loses a hero. A dog waits by a door that will never open again...chances are zero --- So before another chair sits empty... Before another photograph becomes a memory... Before another good man believes the lie that he's not enough...and wants to die Check on him. Call him. Sit with him. Listen to him. --- Because strength was never carrying everything alone. Strength is reaching for a hand to help you grown before you reach the edge by making that pledge --- And maybe... just maybe... the strongest words a man can hear are: "Brother... I'm glad you're still here." 'Let's fight this without fear' --- Dedicated to every father, brother, son and friend fighting battles nobody can see. šŸŽ¤ Pinoks Vibes
