Mattias (Snuffe)
Early 1970s raw heavy pop-rock with psychedelic edge, explosive live-band energy, 120 BPM, infectious forward drive and deep swaggering groove, Prominent continuous 16-bit pulse-wave drone woven throughout like a digital hurdy-gurdy, clearly audible beneath the band, sustained, buzzing and hypnotic, with pulsing movement and occasional simple chiptune arpeggios, never cute or arcade-like, Punchy acoustic drums, hard kick, snare subtly behind the beat, human microtiming, Simple repetitive rhythm guitar, fuzz through loud vintage tube amps with speaker strain and midrange grind, Hammond organ through rotary speaker, Snappy melodic bass with playful runs and fills, Powerful raspy female contralto, fierce commanding delivery, hard vocal attack, gritty chest voice, strong controlled vibrato, urgent phrasing, explosive belts and raw vocal strain, Big immediate singalong choruses, raw harmonies, Raw live room, tape saturation, sweaty, dangerous, catchy, no modern polish

[VERSE 1] We walked in just before closing Four of us, dressed for rain I watched the girl behind the counter Count the twenties once again Tommy said, “Five minutes, honey” “Keep it quiet, we'll be gone” Then somebody hit the button And the sirens weren't far off [PRE-CHORUS] “Who hit the goddamn alarm?” Blue lights wash the windows white [CHORUS] We came in for the money We're getting out alive Came in for the money We're getting out alive Nobody move, nobody try me Everything will be all right We came in for the money We're getting out alive [VERSE 2] There's a handbag by the fountain There's a shoe beneath a chair Twenty people on the tile floor That old music's still up there Tommy's sweating through his collar Danny's talking much too fast “Jesus Christ, Danny, shut your mouth!” Five minutes didn't last [PRE-CHORUS] Every exit's flashing blue “Damn it, Tommy, what do we do?” [CHORUS] We came in for the money We're getting out alive Came in for the money We're getting out alive Nobody move, nobody try me Everything will be all right We came in for the money We're getting out alive [BRIDGE] The money's on the floor now Nobody gives a damn Danny's crouched behind the counter With a pistol in his hand “Put the goddamn thing down, Danny.” “Get the hell away from me!” “Son of a bitch, we're boxed in!” Then the bullhorn starts again [BREAK] “Tommy, pick up the phone!! Nobody has to get hurt.” Danny whispers, “I ain't dying in this place.” Tommy says, “Shut up. Let me fucking think!!” [VERSE 3] Morning's coming through the skylight Grey and dirty, cold and thin All the mannequins are watching With their painted plastic grins Tommy hasn't said a word now Danny's sitting by the wall Some are sleeping on the tile floor Some don't close their eyes at all [PRE-CHORUS] I leave the money on the ground Raise my hands and turn around [CHORUS] We came in for the money I just wanna leave alive Came in for the money I just wanna leave alive Nobody move, nobody try me Jesus, what a goddamn night We came in for the money I just wanna leave alive
