[Intro] When I was a child, I played like a child I thought like a child, a little bit tame, a little bit wild But I always had a feeling there was something more Something inside, something I was destined for The teenage years came and went Still couldn’t fathom what life really meant Fell in and out of love a dozen times Had no idea what my future had in mind We’ve all been there, not knowing the why Just being thankful for being alive That sense of wonder, a sense of awe That feeling of excitement and a little fear A little touch, a little idea, a little spark But it goes much deeper than that Before i knew it, life came on strong Caught sometimes between right and wrong But that still small voice, kept me on the path Knowing that life, goes much deeper than that We’ve all been there, not knowing the why Just being thankful for being alive That sense of wonder, a sense of awe That feeling of excitement and a little fear A little touch, a little idea, a little spark But it goes much deeper than that [Interlude] Time never stood still, i just tried my best to keep up Seems all i did was done in a rush Now looking back on that wonderful path I finally see…..life was deeper than that We’ve all been there, not knowing the why Just being thankful for being alive That sense of wonder, a sense of awe That feeling of excitement and a little fear A little touch, a little idea, a little spark But it goes much deeper than that [interlude] I now have the time, to try and figure out Clear my mind of the fears and doubts The many roads that i went down That’s brought me up on solid ground The life i led is now in the past And what’s ahead, goes deeper than that Yeah, looking back on that wonderful path I finally see, life was deeper than that [Fade out]
