English translate down bellow [Intro] Noch ruht die Welt. Heilige Nacht. [Intro] The world lies still. A single breath. A child awakens in the first light. [Verse 1] No throne of gold, no grand cathedral doors, just straw in darkness, a heart that welcomes all. The night falls silent, the heavens hold their peace. And God's own love is revealed to us. [Pre-Chorus] Not distant and beyond us, not dwelling high above. God rests within our hands, defenseless as a child. [Chorus] When God became a child, all earthly splendor fell away. Heaven came down to earth, and love found us again. O holy Christmas night, hold this world within your hands. Where hearts keep watch for one another, the peace of God is felt. [Verse 2] A father gently bends down, a mother rocks her child. Outside, the winter wanders through streets both harsh and wild. But here, no one must rule, no rank can claim a place. The light rests in the manger, as near as an outstretched hand. [Pre-Chorus] No words can fully tell us what this night holds in store. Only those who humble themselves can learn what love is for. [Chorus] When God became a child, all earthly splendor fell away. Heaven came down to earth, and love found us again. O holy Christmas night, hold this world within your hands. Where hearts keep watch for one another, the peace of God is felt. [Interlude / Prayer] Christ, O Child of Peace, stay with us tonight. Teach our hearts to serve, give the weak the strength to rise. Take away our pride, soften every hardened hand. Turn our deepest longing into a land of peace. [Final Chorus] When God became a child, the whole world fell silent. No heart is ever too small to learn the ways of love. O holy Christmas night, carry our thanks to God. And when the morning breaks, walk with us into the world. [Outro] The world lies still. A light awakens. God is near. O holy night.
