Lyrics by Kaien Von Rode © Ahhh... [Verse 1] She searched the heavens, but they were so cold, The blinding white light gave her nothing to hold. The angels kept silent while she lay there crying, Her faith in salvation was withering, dying. The holy illusions are fading away, She turns her back on the breaking of day. [Pre-Chorus] Then night descended, so heavy and deep, Her old, fragile beliefs were put into sleep. She saw him standing where shadows converge, A pulse of rebellion, a passionate urge. A passionate urge... [Chorus] And Lucifer takes her into his embrace, In his gentle darkness, she finds her safe space. The false, holy light has left her betrayed, He is the morning star, guiding through the shade. She offers her soul for eternity, To the angel of outcasts, who sets her free. [Verse 2] The kingdom above was a cage of bright glass, She smiled as she watched her purity pass. His raven-black wings wrap around her so tight, Two silhouettes dancing right into the night. The mortals fear things that they can't understand, But she walks beside him, holding his hand. [Pre-Chorus] No promised paradise calls her by name, For his burning eyes have ignited a flame. She leaves all the sun and the glory behind, In his velvet shadows, true love she will find. True love she will find... [Chorus] And Lucifer takes her into his embrace, In his gentle darkness, she finds her safe space. The false, holy light has left her betrayed, He is the morning star, guiding through the shade. She offers her soul for eternity, To the angel of outcasts, who sets her free. [Verse 3] The altars are crumbling, the prayers turn to dust, She traded her heaven for unholy trust. The choir of seraphs is fading away, As she crowns herself queen of the glorious grey. No tears of regret, not a glance at the sky, Within the abyss, she is learning to fly. Her halo is broken, the cross is undone, The bride of the fallen and he are now one. [Bridge] They call him the devil, the lord of the dark, But she feels the truth in his cold, loving mark. Two fallen spirits, untamed and aligned, Leaving the weight of the heavens behind. [Breakdown] She is a child of the night. She doesn't need their light. [Chorus] And Lucifer takes her into his embrace, In his gentle darkness, she finds her safe space! The false, holy light has left her betrayed, He is the morning star, guiding through the shade! She offers her soul for eternity, To the angel of outcasts, who sets her free. [Outro] United in shadows... Far from the light... Just him and her... Lucifer... Her beautiful star... [Fade Out]
