[Verse 1] You planted something in the dark A quiet spark A hidden flame You whispered courage to my heart And called me out by name [Pre-Chorus] So I will answer in the waiting I will listen in the night Every step a fresh surrender Every breath a simple “Christ” [Chorus] Make me established and steady Firm in the work You’ve begun Rooted and ready for battle Faithful in all that You’ve done I will be diligent Jesus To walk in the word that You’ve spoken Established and steady Trusting the promise unbroken [Verse 2] As all the colors start to fade And shadows stretch across the ground We feel the weight of what You paid The cross before us now [Pre-Chorus] So we prepare our hearts with trembling Set our faces to the road You went first through sorrow’s valley You still carry every load [Chorus] Make us established and steady Form us a resilient bride Rooted Alert And courageous Confident You’re by our side We will be diligent Jesus To live what Your mercy has spoken Established and steady Trusting the promise unbroken [Bridge] When I am weary Call me again (oh Jesus) When I am fearful Fix me in place When I am wandering Pull me in close Set my feet Set my feet in grace When we are weary Call us again When we are fearful Teach us to stand When we are wandering Draw us back home Hold this people in Your hand [Chorus] Make us established and steady Firm in the work You’ve begun Rooted and ready for suffering Following all that You’ve done We will be diligent Jesus To walk in the road that You’ve chosen Established and steady Hearts on the way to the cross Hearts on the way to the cross Trusting Your promise unbroken
