[Verse 1] Sunlit days and shiny flowers Birds that sing in trees that tower I feel the joy of Spring Open meadows, grasses growing New born babes, their faces showing I see love, as in a dream [Verse 2] Blue skies up above Fall down to make love Ants crawl, birds take wing Listen as nature sings the beautiful things, life will bring [Chorus] Butterflies are free Blue, red , yellow, green Children laugh and sing Chasing painted wings The simple things Life will bring [Bridge] Peels of laughter, children running Butterflies are free to come in I see the joy to be young Days pass by in careless splendor Children stop to stare in wonder I see their happy thoughts, running on [Chorus] Butterflies are free Blue, red, yellow, green Children laugh and sing Chasing painted wings the simple things life will bring [Outro]
