[Verse 1] I found a map in the back of a drawer With a coffee stain marking the door It said, “Turn left where the bluebirds fly” So I packed one sock and a reason why [Pre-Chorus] Every wrong turn drew a better line Every loose thread came out just fine If the road keeps bending, let it bend I’ve got a pocketful of ways to begin again [Chorus] Here comes the good part, open the window wide Let all the ordinary miracles come inside We’ve got a long way, but we’re already free Come on, put your best day next to me Here comes the good part, louder than yesterday No need to know exactly what we’re gonna say If the morning knocks, we’ll answer with a grin The good part starts wherever we begin [Verse 2] A neighbor lent me a yellow canoe Said, “Bring it back when the sky turns blue” We crossed that pond by a leaning tree And found a little dock with a spare key [Pre-Chorus] There was dust on the road, rain in the grass A train rolled by and let the whole world pass I kept your note in my jacket seam Two crooked words: “Go chase the dream” [Chorus] Here comes the good part, open the window wide Let all the ordinary miracles come inside We’ve got a long way, but we’re already free Come on, put your best day next to me Here comes the good part, louder than yesterday No need to know exactly what we’re gonna say If the morning knocks, we’ll answer with a grin The good part starts wherever we begin [Bridge] And if the clouds collect above the town We’ll share an umbrella, we won’t turn around A little bit brave, a little bit strange That’s more than enough to make a change [Breakdown] One small step Two open hands A borrowed boat A brand-new plan [Final Chorus] Here comes the good part, open the window wide Let all the ordinary miracles come inside We’ve got a long way, but we’re already free Come on, put your best day next to me Here comes the good part, louder than yesterday No need to know exactly what we’re gonna say If the morning knocks, we’ll answer with a grin The good part starts wherever we begin [Outro] Wherever we begin Wherever we begin The good part starts wherever we begin
