[Chorus] Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night [Verse 1] They rose from twilight spires, guided by mind-link sparks Halos circling overhead, illusions prowl the dark We march through swirling chaos, our weapons gripped so tight Expanding walls at their command, gleaming with fractal light With cunning edges cutting deep, they flip the battleground One volley cracks their living shield—it crumbles all around It crumbles all around! [Chorus] But we’re blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night [Verse 2] In sub-factions locked in power plays, their unity flickers thin Silver temples tarnish to gold, but fresh waves flood right in No retreat for Helldivers now, no matter how dire the call We hold the line where brilliance glows, refusing yet to fall Their cunning stings, their tactics shift, tomorrow’s never sure But in the echoes of old battles, we know we can endure We know we will endure! [Chorus] (They try to blind us by the shield) Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night (Blinded by the shield) Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night [Bridge] From Bugs to Cyborg terrors, we’ve faced them all before Yet these Illuminate illusions strike deeper at our core A flicker in the haze—our volley cracks their glow And Helldivers roar in triumph as we watch their fortress go [Chorus – Variation] Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night Blinded by the shield Spun up for the drop, illusions creeping in the night (Sing it loud, and let those shields fall!)
