[Verse 1] They told me Earth was young and new, Six days beneath a perfect blue, But stones remember ancient fires, And starlight whispers older times. Are we counting years in thousands— Or in billions passing by? If truth is written in creation, Why should honest questions hide? [Pre-Chorus] Every answer opens doors, Every doorway leads to more— I’m standing at the edge of what I know. [Chorus] Existential questions Keep me waking through the night. Is doubt a road to darkness, Or a lantern toward the light? If truth is truly sacred, It has nothing left to fear. So I’ll follow every question, Wherever it may lead from here. [Verse 2] Was the Bible breathed from heaven, Every sentence, every word? Or written down by human hands, Through the stories people heard? Why so many gods and prophets, So many sacred claims? Why do distant tribes find different truths And call them different names? [Verse 3] Did God create man in His image— Or did man create God? Did we rise from sacred dust, Or evolve from forms before us? Did natural selection shape us Through the endless march of time? Are we part of some intention— Or just branches on life’s vine? [Chorus] Existential questions Keep me waking through the night. Is doubt a road to darkness, Or a lantern toward the light? If truth is truly sacred, It has nothing left to fear. So I’ll follow every question, Wherever it may lead from here. [Verse 4] Is there one who knows all endings, Who is loving, who is strong? If God has all power and kindness, Why has suffering lasted so long? Why the child inside the hospital? Why the terror, grief, and war? Why the frightened hunted animal Bleeding on the forest floor? [Verse 5] And who was Jesus—God among us, Teacher, healer, myth, or man? Was he raised beyond the grave, Or changed by stories secondhand? Are the visions of the faithful Glimpses of a world unseen— Or illusions born of longing, Dreams created by the brain? [Bridge] Would a loving God condemn us To a fire that never ends? Would a father torture children For the questions in their heads? Why is God forever hidden When belief could save a soul? Why demand that faith should fill The silence where the proof should go? Why do people keep believing— Hope or fear or something known? Is it family, tribe, and culture, Or a truth they’ve somehow shown? Are they seeing what I’m missing? Am I blinded? Am I free? Are they caught inside delusion— Or is the deluded one me? [Breakdown] Am I searching for the answers, Or just answers I prefer? Can I challenge my assumptions When the outcome feels unsure? Can I lose my oldest story Without losing who I am? Can I face the vast unknown Without pretending I understand? [Final Chorus] Existential questions— I won’t silence them with fear. Doubt may shake the ground beneath me, But it proves that I am here. If truth is truly sacred, Let it stand beneath the light. I would rather live with questions Than take comfort in a lie. [Outro] Who are we? Why are we here? Is there something more beyond us— Or is this one life more dear? I don’t know where this will lead me, But I know what I must do: Keep my wonder, face my fear, And never stop pursuing truth.
