Petrol Pinchin' Blues

[Verse 1] Sunrise sizzle Another day My old ute coughs Gotta get away But the news is screamin' On the telly screen Petrol's rationed mate What does that even mean [Prechorus] They say it's for the good Of the land down under But my tank is empty That's a bloody blunder [Chorus] Petrol pinchers Oh what a shame My four-wheel drive Ain't playin' their game Petrol pinchers A real bad joke This fuel shortage Gonna make me choke [Verse 2] The Prime Minister's smilin' All teeth and no truth Says we gotta tighten Our belts from our youth Meanwhile his limo Is filled to the brim While my jerry can's dry Lookin' mighty grim [Prechorus] They say it's for the good Of the land down under But my tank is empty That's a bloody blunder [Chorus] Petrol pinchers Oh what a shame My four-wheel drive Ain't playin' their game Petrol pinchers A real bad joke This fuel shortage Gonna make me choke
