Celebrating: family birthday and 2 wedings “a Birthday AND a Retirement — Hallelujah” Lyrics: Kevin G. Pammett — June 13, 2021 ------------------------------------------------------ Remember when I first met you... I was just a kid, and you were too. We shared our dreams and set out on our way. And then somehow the decades flew, Our empty nest... kids off at school... A different year composing "Happy Birthday!" It's your Birthday, Happy Birthday! All day long we celebrate you! The long awaited mountaintop, All weekend long we all came to rock. The (hash tag) Party-Of-The-Decade in full swing. I walked my Jilli thru the trees, The sun came out; we all did see... They said their vows; we all said "Hallelujah!" It's your Birthday, Happy Birthday! All day long we celebrate you! We saw the love nest taking shape, 'Round Hope and Heart, they would stake their fate — The nick of time, before the distancing... And when that Summer's ship had sailed, We donned our masks; sunshine prevailed, They said their vows; “Lucky us!” Ocean witness! Hallelujah! It's your Birthday. All day long we celebrate you! And now 3 years I'm always home, I play my way... My days are my own, And covid also brought you home to me. And now that you are sixty-two, At long last you're retired too, This surely is the day for Hallelujah! It's your Birthday, Happy Birthday! All day long we celebrate you! It's your Birthday, Happy Birthday! All day long we celebrate you! (All day long we celebrate you!) ----------- March 31, 2026 at 8:29 PM
