[Intro] New York City waits New York City calls Sandy tries to build her future In the city lights [Verse] Sandy came to New York City With a dream so big and bright Broadway lights they called her name But she served drinks every night [Bridge] Silent nights talking to the stars Hopes they fall but don’t forget Do you want it? Do you want it? Or not? [Verse 2] In a bar filled with sorrow Visitors laugh but she feels small Tears fall down every evening Sandy whispers to the walls [Chorus] Oh Destiny be kind Hear my silent cries All I want is to shine But I end up in disguise [Verse 3] Waiting tables serving faces Hopes they seem to fade Abuse and hurt she faces In this game that Destiny played [Verse 4] Unexpected child in her life A twist she didn't see Now she wonders 'bout her dreams And what her life could be [Bridge] Silent nights talking to the stars Hopes they fall but don’t forget Destiny keeps secrets far Maybe it’s not over yet [Verse 3] Waiting tables serving faces Hopes they seem to fade Abuse and hurt she faces In this game that Destiny played [Bridge] Do you want it? Or not? [Chorus] Oh Destiny be kind Hear my silent cries All I want is to shine But I end up in disguise [Chorus] Oh Destiny be kind Hear my silent cries All I want is to shine But I end up in disguise [Chorus] Oh Destiny be kind Hear my silent cries Oh Destiny Be kind My Destiny
