[Verse] In the fields beneath the skies Humble sheep with curious eyes Shepherds shocked in pure surprise When heaven's light began to rise [Verse 2] We heard whispers in the night Saw their faces gleam with fright Angels told them of the sight Of a child born as our light [Chorus] Bethlehem the stars so bright Heaven singing in the night Simple shepherds in delight Witnessing a wondrous sight [Verse 3] We saw wonder on their face Felt the magic of the place Listening to Heaven's grace Praising in this quiet space [Bridge] Angels spoke of hope and worth Glory streaming over earth Shepherds ran to find God's birth Filled with joy and endless mirth [Verse 4] As they journeyed through the streets Rushing with their hurried feet We stood silent in the peace Knowing love was now complete
