Lady Lent is here today, An old tradition, we all say. With water, flour, and some salt, We make her body, it's not hard! On her head, she wears a cross, But her mouth is always lost! She does not eat, she does not speak, She fasts and prays from week to week. Seven legs she has to show, How many weeks until we go... To Easter day, so bright and fair, With joy and flowers everywhere! Every Saturday we say: "One more leg we cut away!" Until the last one, then we know: It's Easter time, let's go, go, go!
