PHANTOM’S DANCE Intro (Creaking gates… music box… a warped electronic beat starts ticking) One, two… count to three. Step into the dark with me. Four, five… the lights turn red. Six, seven… wake the dead. (Distorted chuckle) Oh, you came to dance? THEN LET THE NIGHT BEGIN! Verse 1 Midnight strikes and the graveyard glows, Emerald fire where the cold wind blows. Cyan claws and a shadow’s grin, The Halloween party is about to begin. Pumpkins laughing, the dead arise, Electric lightning splits the skies. Hear those footsteps, feel that trance, Everybody’s waiting for Phantom’s dance! Pre chorus Left foot forward, don’t look back, Hear the heartbeat, feel the crack. Round and round, the shadows sway, There’s no escaping the game we play! Chorus DANCE! DANCE! PHANTOM’S DANCE! Spin with the shadows, give fate a chance! MOVE! MOVE! INTO THE NIGHT! Emerald flames and cyan light! Clap your hands when the dead bells ring, Stomp your feet while the lost souls sing! DANCE! DANCE! DON’T BREAK THE TRANCE! WELCOME TO THE PHANTOM’S DANCE! Verse 2 The skeletons shuffle, the witches spin, A ghostly DJ lets the nightmare in. The bass hits hard, the floorboards shake, Every single shadow starts to wake. My tail swings wide as the circuits flare, Green sparks dancing through the midnight air. No kings, no queens, no second chance, Just one more night in my wicked dance! But tonight, little ghosts, let the music play, We’ll haunt this world till the break of day! My scythe cuts circles through the mist, A deadly rhythm you can’t resist. The whole dark kingdom is moving as one, And we’re not stopping till the night is done! Bridge (Beat cuts out. Music box plays alone.) Freeze… Did you hear that? (Three metallic knocks) Don’t stop moving. Don’t turn around. Because when the music stops… I’M THE ONLY ONE STILL DANCING. (A distorted laugh. Bass begins building.) ONE! — Let the shadows rise! TWO! — Open up your eyes! THREE! — Hear the dead bells ring! FOUR! — LET THE NIGHTMARE SING! (Massive electronic drop) NOW DANCE! Verse 4 The candles burn low, but the beat stays alive, The dead are awake and the ghosts arrive. The castle shakes as the green flames soar, Phantom’s calling for one dance more! When the sunrise paints the sky blood-red, You’ll still hear the music inside your head. And every October, when the cold winds advance, You’ll remember the night of Phantom’s dance! Chorus DANCE!
