Fear Not (Call His Name Jesus)
Verse 1 On a winter night, the knocking came, A mother, child, and tears; My busy heart began to race— I felt the weight of fear. But in the quiet, scriptures fell To words I’ve always known: “Fear not to take,” the Savior spoke, “And you won’t be alone.” Pre-Chorus I don’t see every road ahead, But I can choose to start; When heaven whispers, do not fear, I’ll open up my heart. Chorus Fear not—call His name Jesus; He saves us from our sins. God with us—Immanuel— Let mercy welcome in. I’ll trust like faithful Joseph did, And walk the path He shows; Fear not—call His name Jesus— His love is all I know. Verse 2 A borrowed couch, a warm-lit room, A lullaby and prayer; The Holy Ghost was soft and near, And hope was everywhere. I don’t have much, but what I have, I place within His hands; He turns a simple yes to light That brightens all the land. Bridge When shadows say, “You’re not enough,” I’ll listen to the King: “Fear not; I’m here. Be still, have peace.” And I will gladly sing— Chorus (repeat) Fear not—call His name Jesus; He saves us from our sins. God with us—Immanuel— Let mercy welcome in. I’ll trust like faithful Joseph did, And walk the path He shows; Fear not—call His name Jesus— His love is all I know.
