[Verse 1] I left my jacket on the station chair With last year's map and a ticket to nowhere The bus rolled out past the county line But every mile keeps pulling at my mind [Pre-Chorus] You said, “Go on, see what you find” I found a thousand roads and none were mine [Chorus] I wanna return to Shambala Where the dust gets in your shoes I wanna return to Shambala Where I had nothing left to lose Hey! Hey! Let the old road call I wanna return to Shambala [Verse 2] The landlord changed the lock again My old friends moved, I lost their number then I keep one postcard folded in my coat Your crooked sun drawn underneath the note [Pre-Chorus] You said, “Go on, see what you find” I found a thousand roads and none were mine [Chorus] I wanna return to Shambala Where the dust gets in your shoes I wanna return to Shambala Where I had nothing left to lose Hey! Hey! Let the old road call I wanna return to Shambala [Bridge] Maybe it’s a place, maybe it’s a dare Maybe it’s the way you laughed out there If you’re still waiting by that rusted sign Save me a seat—I’m coming this time [Final Chorus] I wanna return to Shambala Where the dust gets in your shoes I wanna return to Shambala Where I had nothing left to lose Hey! Hey! Let the old road call I wanna return to Shambala Hey! Hey! I’m coming home I wanna return to Shambala
