(oh oh oh, ah ah ah)
Cue the music it’s time for the curtains
Somebody needs to carry this burden
All the kids are up on the stage
but who is directing this Christmas play?

We’ve got the angels we’ve got the props
Let’s go! don't wanna mess this up
Here’s your line so it’s time to learn it
All we're missing is the Christmas spirit.

well, Let’s go and pick out an evergreen, The best one you ever seen
A nice little christmas tree, that’s what we really need

Good Grief! I need some relief (oh oh oh)
Stuck here with this pitiful tree (ah ah)
It just needs a bit of love and support
I thought that’s what Christmas was for

Is this supposed to improve our mood?
This tree is lame, yes we mean to be rude
We wanted shiny plastic and silver
Not this junk that’s about to tip over

Good Grief! I need some relief (oh oh oh)
Stuck here with this pitiful tree (ah ah)
It just needs a bit of love and support
I thought that’s what Christmas was for

Maybe we missed the mark (who knew?)
Maybe we were left in the dark (santa's comin'!)
We better not cry we better not pout
Won't someone tell us what Christmas is about?

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. (oh oh oh)
And this shall be a sign unto you; You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. (ah ah ah)
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God (glory to god) in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men

Good grief! What a relief (oh oh oh)
Now look at our cute little tree (ah ah)
A bit of love and a lot of support
That’s what Christmas spirit is for
Good grief! What a relief (oh oh oh)
Now look at our grand little tree(ah ah)
A bit of love and a lot of support
That’s what Christmas spirit is for

A bit of love and a lot of support (la la love)
That’s what Christmas spirit is for (la la love)
That’s what Christmas spirit is for (la la love)
