Alien forces launch devastating attacks on cities across the world. Humanity unites its land, sea, and air forces in a massive counterattack. After a fierce battle, the alien forces and their mothership are finally destroyed. 「ZOA II」とは… 悪の神々との大戦から数十年後、巨大なマザーシップが地球へ襲来。エイリアンの攻撃によって世界各地の都市は壊滅的な被害を受ける。人類は陸・海・空の戦力を結集して総反撃を開始。激戦の末、エイリアン軍とマザーシップの撃破に成功する。 ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー Chapter 2-1: The Last Transmission Humanity has defeated the alien attack. While reconstruction begins across the damaged cities of Earth, an investigation is launched into the remains of the massive alien mothership. A human investigation team enters the silent vessel. Inside, they discover enormous corridors and unknown machinery built with technology unlike anything created by humanity. Deep within the ship, they find parts of its control systems still functioning. Carefully activating them, the team begins recovering navigation records and communication logs. Soon, a series of disturbing discoveries begins to change everything. Despite its enormous size, the mothership contains almost none of the infrastructure necessary for the long-term occupation of a planet. Even more alarming, its communication records reveal that enormous amounts of data were transmitted to a distant galaxy throughout the battle on Earth. The transmitted information was human military data. Fighter aircraft, naval forces, missiles, ground weapons, defense networks, combat tactics, international coordination, and humanity’s responses during battle — the entire war seen in Chapter 1 had been recorded, analyzed, and transmitted into deep space. Humanity finally realizes the truth. It was never an invasion. It was reconnaissance — a mission to measure humanity’s combat capabilities. The final transmission logs reveal something even worse. The mothership successfully completed its transmission only moments before it was destroyed. The enemy already knows how humanity fights, how powerful its weapons are, how nations cooperate against a common threat, and that Earth is capable of destroying the reconnaissance force. Then, hidden deeper within the navigation data, humanity discovers evidence of a military force vastly larger than anything encountered on Earth. The enemy that required the combined strength of humanity to defeat... was only a reconnaissance force. The victory of Chapter 1 was not the end of the war. The real war has not even begun. ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー Chapter 2-1「偵察部隊の真相」 エイリアンとの戦争に勝利した人類。破壊された都市では復旧が始まる一方、撃破された巨大マザーシップの調査が開始される。 人類の調査部隊は、沈黙したマザーシップ内部へ進入する。そこには人類の技術とはまったく異なる巨大な通路や未知の装置が広がっていた。調査を進める中、船内に残されたコントロールシステムの一部がまだ機能していることを発見。調査部隊は慎重に装置を起動し、マザーシップに残された航行記録や通信記録の解析を開始する。 やがて、不可解な事実が次々と明らかになる。この巨大なマザーシップには、惑星を長期間占領・支配するための設備が存在していなかった。さらに通信記録を解析すると、エイリアンたちは地球との戦闘中、膨大な量のデータを遥か彼方へ送信していたことが判明する。 送信されていたのは、人類の軍事データだった。 戦闘機、艦艇、ミサイル、地上兵器、防衛網、戦術、各国の連携、そして戦闘に対する人類の反応――。Chapter 1で繰り広げられた戦争そのものが記録・解析され、未知の銀河へ送信されていた。 人類はここで初めて気づく。 あれは侵略ではなかった。 人類の戦闘能力を調べるための「偵察」だった。 さらにマザーシップ最後の通信記録を調査すると、地球の戦闘データはマザーシップが撃破される直前にすでに送信を完了していたことが判明する。つまり、人類がどのように戦い、どの程度の軍事力を持ち、そして偵察部隊を撃破できる文明であるかを、敵はすでに知っている。 そして航行データのさらに先に、人類は自分たちが撃破した軍勢とは比較にならない巨大な本隊の存在を確認する。 全人類が総力を挙げてようやく撃破した敵――。 それは、ただの偵察部隊だった。 Chapter 1の勝利は戦争の終わりではない。 本当の戦争は、まだ始まってすらいなかった。
