THE TRIAL OF THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE CASE FILE #002 THE PEOPLE VS. Wanda Maximov

THE TRIAL OF THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE CASE FILE #003 THE PEOPLE VS. WANDA MAXIMOFF “THE WOMAN WHO LOVED REALITY APART” NARRATOR: “The Court resumes proceedings. The third case before the tribunal concerns one of the most powerful beings ever recorded within the Multiverse. A woman whose abilities could reshape reality itself. A woman whose greatest strength… was also her greatest vulnerability.” ⸻ “Wanda Maximoff.” ⸻ “Before this Court examines the evidence, let the record reflect something important. This is not a trial about whether Wanda Maximoff suffered. She did. This is not a trial about whether she lost. She did. This is a trial about what happens when unimaginable grief is given unimaginable power.” ⸻ THE PROSECUTION PROSECUTOR: “Members of the Court… Wanda Maximoff was not born a destroyer. She was shaped by loss. By war. By manipulation. By tragedy after tragedy.” ⸻ “But pain does not erase responsibility.” ⸻ “The defendant possessed power unlike almost any being in existence. The ability to alter probability. The ability to manipulate reality. The ability to bend the very rules that hold creation together.” ⸻ “And when Wanda Maximoff lost what she loved… reality itself was forced to mourn with her.” ⸻ EXHIBIT ONE: WESTVIEW “A quiet town. A peaceful neighborhood. A perfect life.” ⸻ “Except it was not real.” ⸻ “Hundreds of innocent people were trapped inside Wanda’s grief. Their minds altered. Their lives controlled. Their freedom surrendered so one person could avoid accepting loss.” ⸻ “The defendant did not create a kingdom of fear.” ⸻ “She created a prison of happiness.” ⸻ EXHIBIT TWO: THE DARKHOLD “The forbidden knowledge of the Darkhold did not create Wanda’s desires.” ⸻ “It revealed them. Amplified them. Strengthened the belief that anything lost could be reclaimed.” ⸻ “And with that belief came a dangerous question: If reality itself can be changed… why should anyone accept reality as it is?” ⸻ EXHIBIT THREE: THE MULTIVERSE “Wanda Maximoff crossed boundaries that existed for a reason.” ⸻ “She pursued another reality. Another version of her children. Another life.” ⸻ “But to obtain that life, another person had to lose theirs.” ⸻ “The defendant became willing to sacrifice countless possibilities for one impossible dream.” ⸻ THE DEFENSE DEFENSE: “Members of the Court… The prosecution has shown you destruction. But they have not shown you the entire story.” ⸻ “Look at Wanda Maximoff’s life.” ⸻ “A child who lost her parents.” “A woman who lost her brother.” “A hero forced to destroy the person she loved.” ⸻ “She saved the world by sacrificing her own happiness.” ⸻ “And when she finally reached the breaking point… the universe judged her for being unable to carry a burden no person was meant to carry.” ⸻ “Was Wanda responsible? Yes.” ⸻ “But was she the beginning of this crisis?” ⸻ “No.” ⸻ “She was another person caught in a storm that began long before she understood she was standing inside it.” ⸻ THE NARRATOR “The Court recognizes the arguments presented.” ⸻ “The evidence is clear. Wanda Maximoff caused catastrophic damage across realities.” ⸻ “But intent remains complicated.” ⸻ “She was not driven by conquest.” ⸻ “She was driven by love.” ⸻ A pause. ⸻ “Before the verdict is entered…” ⸻ “…there is something I must address.” ⸻ The narrator pauses. ⸻ “The individual seated in the rear gallery.” ⸻ A longer pause. ⸻ “I do not recall anyone entering the chamber.” ⸻ The narrator’s voice changes slightly. ⸻ “And yet…” ⸻ “They have been present since the beginning of these proceedings.” ⸻ Silence. ⸻ “The hooded figure.” ⸻ “I apologize. The Court records show no identification for this observer.” ⸻ The narrator attempts to regain composure. ⸻ “We will continue.” ⸻ Pause. ⸻ “Although…” ⸻ “I find it unusual that every time a verdict approaches…” ⸻ “the figure appears to already know the outcome.” ⸻ The narrator lowers their voice. ⸻ “Proceeding.” ⸻ VERDICT “Wanda Maximoff is not declared the architect of the Multiverse’s collapse.” ⸻ “However, this Court recognizes her actions as a major fracture point in reality.” ⸻ “Culpability assessment: High impact. Complicated intent.” ⸻ “She did not create the storm.” ⸻ “But she proved something terrifying.” ⸻ “That one broken heart…” ⸻ “could shake the foundation of existence.” ⸻ CASE FILE #003 CONCLUDED. ⸻ “The Court will proceed.” ⸻ In the darkness of the gallery… the hooded figure remains seated. Watching. Waiting.
