---------------------------- Lyrics by : ModernBard © 2025 ModernBard All rights reserved. ---------------------------- I hope you enjoy my Wellerman parody! ---------------------------- There once was a player, keen and bold, Whose favorite game, a story untold. The updates lagged, their spirits low, O wait, my fellow gamers, ho! Soon may the patch notes come, To bring us fixes, and maybe some fun. One day, when the download's done, We'll log right in and go. They'd not been two weeks from the last, When news of a new patch was then cast. The players cheered, their hopes amassed, For content to yet know. (Huh) Soon may the patch notes come, To bring us fixes, and maybe some fun. One day, when the download's done, We'll log right in and go. Da-da, da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da Da-da, da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da Before the timer hit the zero, A sneak peek dropped, a tiny hero. All eyes on screen, controllers did they throw, When the release did flow. (Huh) Soon may the patch notes come, To bring us fixes, and maybe some fun. One day, when the download's done, We'll log right in and go. No rollback came, no progress lost, The devs' intent, no extra cost. And they belonged to the gamers' host, New features start to grow. (Huh!) Soon may the patch notes come, To bring us fixes, and maybe some fun. One day, when the download's done, We'll log right in and go. Da-da, da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da Da-da, da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da For forty days, or maybe less, The servers strained under duress. All queues were long, causing distress, But still, they had to flow. (Huh) Soon may the patch notes come, To bring us fixes, and maybe some fun. One day, when the download's done, We'll log right in and go. As far as I've heard, the playing's on, The glitches patched, the grind not gone. The updates drop with steady call, Encouraging players, one and all. (Huh) Soon may the patch notes come, To bring us fixes, and maybe some fun. One day, when the download's done, We'll log right in and go. Soon may the patch notes come, To bring us fixes, and maybe some fun. One day, when the download's done, We'll log right in and go. Da-da, da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da Da-da, da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da Huh!
