1. O Lord, our Lord—how bright Your name Resounds through all the earth! Your glory crowns the star-flung frame Where heaven’s wonders birth. 2. Yet from the lips of babes You rise, To silence foes and kings. The moon-drawn tide, the falcon’s flight— Your smallest whisper sings. 3. What is man, that You mind his dust? Or care what he may be? You clothe him near to gods, and trust His hands with earth and sea. 4. All sheep, all oxen, beasts that roam, Birds diving through the air— The fish that trace the ocean’s foam— You set them in his care. 5. O Lord, our Lord—how bright, how vast Your name in all the earth! Your love makes mortal weakness last As heirs of boundless worth.
