A Eulogy for None [ENG]
A Eulogy for None drifts like a whispered farewell—soft, spectral, and full of quiet devotion. Originally written on May 18, 2005 as an identity poem and later compiled as part of My Book Project. jpbbantigue.com ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ He sat in the back, never asking to be seen, a quiet soul in the company of shadows. Words did not come easy— yet if you stayed, he would open a thousand doors. He loved the rain— the way it fell, the way it hid his tears. He loved the silence— though he was never far when sorrow drew near. He walked fast, as if time was already chasing him, never wishing to lead, yet trusted with the way forward. In his silence was a vow unspoken, a strength that carried others through the storm. He loved the rain— the way it fell, the way it washed the world clean. He loved the silence— though he would stand beside you when the night was cold. Not a hero, not a leader, but one you could follow home. Not a voice in the crowd, but the echo you’d remember when you were alone. He loved the rain— to stay beneath it, or simply watch it fall. He loved the distance— but still, he was always there for us all.
