The sliding door I opened with a rattle The smell of dust, a sudden return of the afternoon The sounds of the train station platform grow smaller The cicadas’ chorus drowns everything out The ice in the barley tea clinks On the low table, a red sea of watermelon "Haven't you lost weight?" laughs my grandmother I wonder if I’m smiling properly, my chest tightens In the summertime sunlight at home The knots in my heart untangle, slowly untangle The way of breathing I’d forgotten in the city I take a deep breath and swallow the blue sky Just by being here I felt like I was being told it’s okay The path on the mountainside, pushing through the grass The scars from when I was an elementary school student The same little stones are still lying around The me from that day comes chasing after me The river surface shines, water splashes I take off my sandals and feel the cold up to my ankles The cell signal gets weaker Somehow, that becomes a little bit of comfort The curtains in my room puff in the wind More than textbooks, I kept my eyes on the clouds I have more worries than back then But the sound of the wind chime still just sways the same
