Part VIII (A New Home)
[Soft music] [Intro] The king grew still as winter fell, His breath like frost upon the air. No horns were blown, no tolling bell Just quiet steps and softened glare. [Refrain 1] His crown untouched, the fire dimmed low, And yet they rose, prepared to go. [Verse 1] Gold was stored in velvet light, Metal gleamed but stayed upright. Yet none bowed low nor raised a fist Just quiet hearts and fog-kissed mist. [Chorus] They followed Tarin’s gentle thread, Past frozen fear and dreams long shed. Not for glory, not for might— But something warm, and almost right. [Verse 2] They built with hands, they built with song, No need for right, no fear of wrong. They carried hope, not flags or fame, To the valley without a name. [Chorus] They planted stories in the earth, Let sorrow swell, then give new birth. No laws were carved, no borders drawn— Just quiet stars to wish upon. [Bridge] A child ran with a feather pale, A river gift, a morning tale. “Is it yours?” the question came— Tarin smiled but gave no claim. [Refrain 2] “It waits for one beneath the pine, The one who’s watched the stars align.” [Chorus] He sits beneath the leaning pine, A coat of years, a face like time. He does not speak of kings or land Just nods and holds the child’s small hand. [Verse 3] He once walked roads that now have turned, He knows the names that fire once burned. But now he waits, no need to roam The valley speaks. He’s already home. [Verse 4] Sing, sing, the dusk is wide. Truth walks slow, it does not hide. One asks why, one knows the tune— And both become beneath the moon. [Chorus] A hush, a hum, a sacred sound— Roots grow deep where souls are found. The old, the young, the wind, the stone— All sing together…. [Epic Outro] We are home..!
